What Poply did well
- Poply has retired. Its app store listings announced the end of new registrations and subscriptions, event creation ended on 15 July 2026, and both listings are now gone. What follows is what it did well while it ran.
- Poply offered polished video invitation templates, a format no other platform in this comparison provided as a core feature.
- QR code sharing was genuinely useful for physical event materials like table tents, posters, and printed programs.
- In-app push notifications kept guests updated without relying on email or SMS.
- The native mobile app provided a polished creation experience optimised for phone-based event planning.
Where Poply hosts should go
Poply is no longer an option: it closed to new sign-ups in 2026 and ended event creation on 15 July 2026. If you used Poply for video invitations or QR code sharing, Invyt turns any invitation into a shareable video with your photos and music built in, and gives every event a QR code for check-in, with no app to install for you or your guests.
Frequently asked questions

Its app store listings announced the end of new registrations and subscriptions, existing users were given until 15 July 2026 to create events, and both listings have since been removed. Invyt covers the two things Poply hosts valued most: any invitation can be turned into a shareable video, and every event has a QR code for check-in on the day, with no app to install.
