Tips for Writing Anniversary Invitations

Consider who is hosting. If the couple is hosting their own celebration, the invitation comes from them. If children or friends are organising the party, they are listed as hosts and the couple as guests of honour. This distinction shapes the entire tone of the invitation.

Mention the number of years being celebrated prominently. Milestone numbers like 25 or 50 deserve emphasis. For less common milestones (10th, 15th, 30th), the number still adds context and gives the celebration weight.

If the couple prefers no gifts, include a gentle line like "No gifts, please. Your presence is the greatest gift." For milestone anniversaries, some families suggest charitable donations in lieu of gifts.
