How to make an AI invitation
- Write it like a text. Type the event the way you'd message your guests: what it is, the day, the time and the place. Anything else, say it in your own words.
- Invyt builds it. The AI picks out the occasion, date, time and venue and lays out the invitation. Tap Try another for a different design, or Upload my own to use yours.
- Send one link. Share it by text, WhatsApp or email. Guests open it on any phone and RSVP without an app or an account.
How to make an invitation with ChatGPT and Invyt
ChatGPT designs the card. Invyt turns it into an invitation your guests can open on any phone and reply to.
Design the card in ChatGPT. Open ChatGPT and ask for a portrait 5 by 7 invitation card. Describe the occasion, the style, the colours and the names to show. Leave the date, time and place off the card: Invyt shows them on the invitation page, so a change never means a new image.
Copy this promptCreate a portrait 5 by 7 invitation card, 1050 by 1470 pixels, for [the occasion, for example Sarah's 30th birthday]. Make it [elegant, playful or minimal] in [your colours]. Put only this text on the card: "[the names or heading]". Leave the lower third plain. Show only the finished card, with no phone, hands or table around it.
Polish it in the same chat. Check the spelling of every name. Ask for changes in plain words.
For example: Keep the design, but make the names larger and the background simpler.
Save the image. Use the download button on the image to save the file itself, not a screenshot. Any portrait image works: Invyt fits it inside the card without cutting anything off.
Write your event in Invyt. Start a new invitation and type your event the way you would text a friend. Then tap Build it.
For example: Sarah's 30th, Saturday 23 August at 7pm at The Lion Hotel, North Adelaide. Partners welcome.
Upload your card. Tap Upload my own and choose the image you saved. It becomes the card, and the date, time and place show under it on the invitation page. Switch the glass frame on for a clear border, or leave it off so your design fills the card.
Choose what to ask your guests. Allow plus ones, ask about dietary needs, ask your own questions, add music, or make it a private event that only people with the code can view.
Create it and share the link. Tap Create my invitation. If you are not signed in, Invyt emails you a code to confirm it is you. Open the invitation on your phone to check it, then send the link by WhatsApp, text or email. Guests reply without an app or an account, and every reply lands on your dashboard.
Prompts to start from
A portrait 5 by 7 invitation for Sarah's 30th birthday. Champagne gold balloons and soft confetti on deep emerald, with elegant serif lettering that says Sarah is 30. Leave the lower third plain. No other text.
A portrait 5 by 7 wedding invitation for Priya and Tom. Watercolour eucalyptus and white garden roses on warm ivory paper, their names in fine gold calligraphy. Leave space below the names. No dates or addresses.
A portrait 5 by 7 baby shower invitation. Pastel clouds, a small hot air balloon and tiny stars on soft sky blue, with the words Baby Shower for Mia in rounded letters. Plenty of empty space, no other text.
A portrait 5 by 7 Christmas party invitation. Deep forest green with gold foil pine branches, warm fairy lights and one red bauble, and the words Christmas Party in an elegant gold serif. Leave the lower half plain. No other text.
Bring a design from ChatGPT, Canva or a photo
Already have the look you want? Make the card anywhere and bring it to Invyt. When your invitation appears, tap Upload my own and choose the image. It becomes the card, and the RSVP button, the details and your guest list work exactly as they do with an Invyt design.
- Portrait, 1050 by 1470 pixels, or any image in that 5 by 7 shape.
- JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 5MB.
- Glass frame on or off. A clear border around your design, or your design filling the whole card.
- Keep the small print off the image. Invyt shows the date, time and place on the invitation page, so a change never means a new image.
What your dashboard shows

- A headcount with plus ones. Partners and guests are added to the total.
- Dietary needs on every reply. Filter by them when you plan the food.
- Messages from guests. Kept with their reply, not lost in a chat.
